Our Patients
CT Orofacial Myology provides patients in-person and virtual treatment plans to optimize the function of the orofacial muscles, aid in establishing dominant nasal breathing patterns, and rid noxious oral habits. Our individualized programs provide exercises and behavior modification techniques to help stabilize orthodontic, surgical, and dental results and lead you to a healthier YOU. A completely holistic approach is taken to achieve your therapy goals. It is amazing what can be achieved when the orofacial muscles are working in harmony.
Infants
We know this can be an emotional and stressful time. At CT Orofacial Myology, our mission is to support you and your family in reaching your goals with any tethered oral tissue release (tongue-tie, lip-tie, cheek-tie). Let us help guide you in pre and post operative planning for optimal healing. We typically recommend 1 session before and 2 sessions after. This allows you time to prepare for the procedure and the stretches to follow. Practice makes perfect!
It is imperative there is a collaborative team on board for your infant’s release and functional goals. We will connect you with any other allied health professional we believe to be necessary for success. This may include the release provider, IBCLC/lactation consultant, feeding therapist, and/or body worker. Our job is to help achieve proper wound healing.
